Al Mustaqbal School Vision, Values and Aims
Vision
To be the school of choice for students, parents and staff in Palestine, with an international reputation for exemplary standards.
Values
We believe in developing a sense of belonging and pride in the school and the community it serves through:
- Commitment by all members of the school community to its caring ethos and academic excellence
- Opportunity within a supportive environment for all to fulfil their potential as individuals, life-long learners and contributors to society
- Respect for others and themselves, and the building of positive relationships within the school and the wider community in which it sits
- Excellence in personal achievements and high standards in all areas of school and personal life.
Aims
At Al Mustaqbal School, our programme empowers all students to become leaders, encouraging and developing resilience, self-belief and character in our students, equipping them for their future and giving them the tools to become the political, business and social leaders of the future and to take a full and responsible role in the society in which they live.
The individual is at the very heart of who we are and what we do. By developing the skills, knowledge and character of each student we will support and encourage them to be the very best that they can be.
By developing and promoting a passion for learning we will support and encourage every member of our community to embrace learning for life and life-long learning
We will support and encourage personal development through assurance, perseverance and reflection to prepare our students as individuals.
School Philosophy
Al Mustaqbal School provides a quality international education focusing on developing individual personality and ability and developing the 21st Century skills of Collaboration and Teamwork, Creativity and Imagination, Critical Thinking and Problem Solving.
At Al Mustaqbal School we teach children, not subjects, by stimulating our students’ natural curiosity, promoting skills to empower young people and enable them to become more self-sufficient, life-long learners. We support our students to ask the ‘big’ questions, enabling them to become more creative and able learners.
‘Learning to Learn’ means using learning as a tool so that students are equipped to think critically, process information perceptually, analyse data accurately and evaluate situations intelligently in order to fulfil their true individual potential. Students are encouraged to take ownership and to understand the process of their own learning, to allow student choice without compromising on syllabus outcomes.
Our teachers are facilitators more than instructors, companions and supporters of our students as they embark on their exciting and life-long journey into learning, preparing them to face the challenges and seize the opportunities that will be presented to them as they head, confident and prepared, into their future. The skills and knowledge that our students develop as they progress through Al Mustaqbal School will help them to bring us all closer to a world that respects human rights and one in which political and economic systems are organised to promote the happiness of all humankind.
