Mr.Bowery's Weekly Letter to Parents - May 15,2020

Dear Parents

I wish to inform you that this term will end on May 23rd (before Eid) along with other schools in the area. Zoom sessions will stop after this date. There will be no exams to mark the end of this term.

To compensate for this enforced closure period the school will open early August (after Eid) rather than late August. There will be more details of the opening process later.

I wish to thank the parents who have wholeheartedly supported the school through this abnormal period. We have been able to keep the learning process going even if the school buildings have been locked.

For those parents who have concerns about how school operate and feel they should retain fees because the school buildings were forced to close, it is worth
looking at what the school has been able to do for everyone.

Schools do not wait until all parents pay their fees before they spend the expected money. The quality staff needs to be retained and 80% of a school’s expenditure is on salaries.

We will be publishing a question and answer sheet on Saturday May 16th, 2020 that will tackle all your inquiries and questions.

Finally I just would like to remind all parents that next academic year will be longer with an earlier start. However the fees agreed for the 2020-2021 academic year will not be increased. School is operating whether we were physically in the building or during quarantine using online platforms.

Thanking you for your support.
